            Fly a real airplane

A discovery flight is a first ride in a small plane with a real pilot. Some are free for kids and teens. Ask a parent or guardian to look with you.

            • EAA Young Eagles

Free first airplane rides for ages 8 to 17, from volunteer pilots at local airports.

            • Girls in Aviation Day

A free yearly event from Women in Aviation International, held at airports around the world.

            • Civil Air Patrol cadets

For ages 12 to 18: aviation, leadership and science, with chances to fly.

            • Flight school finder

Find flight schools near you. Many offer a paid discovery flight with an instructor.
